Objective: Goodreads is a website I use frequently, but I find the UI to be overwhelming and outdated. As a personal design exercise, I updated the home page to make it more user friendly and intuitive.
I started by mapping out the current architecture of the site and some of my proposals for consolidating information.

The new homepage benefited from a new font, a refreshed word mark, and some overall decluttering. The UI feels visually more clean and orderly compared to the old homepage, and the new color scheme is more inviting.
